£1,995.00
This entry in The Royal Mint’s Queen’s Beasts series features the White Horse of Hanover: a heraldic creature that galloped into Britain with the first Hanoverian monarch, George I. Commonly found on UK pub signs, the white horse is here shown rearing over the royal arms, as used between 1714 and 1801. The design is the work of Jody Clark whose portrait of Her Majesty the Queen appears on the obverse. This one kilogram coin is from a limited edition presentation of just 85 and is struck in 999 silver to proof standard. Proof coins are made for collectors, their fine finish - achieved with multiple strikes of hand-prepared dies - meaning you can appreciate their designs as the artist intended. This coin has a face value of £500 / Five Hundred Pounds and comes in its original Royal Mint packaging alongside a numbered certificate of authenticity.
